Tour details

In no other city in the world can you do something like this on a motorcycle.

Early in the morning you leave Mecidiyeköy, put the busy streets of Beşiktaş behind you and descend to the Bosphorus shore. From there the road takes you — with the white mosque of Ortaköy on your right and the blue of the Bosphorus on your left, you begin heading north. Bebek, Emirgan, Tarabya, Sarıyer... Each neighborhood passes by with its own story.

When you stop in Rumeli Kavağı, you notice it: all the noise of the Istanbul left behind has been traded for the silence of the Black Sea ahead. The Bosphorus ends at Rumeli Lighthouse — or, the other way around, the Bosphorus begins here. Standing beside your motorcycle at that point where two seas meet leaves a feeling in you that words cannot fully describe.

Then the bridge. As you cross the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the Bosphorus flows 322 meters below, the Black Sea opens on the left and the Marmara comes into view on the right. A motorcycle and two continents, right in the middle.

On the Asian side everything is a little calmer, a little more its own. The Byzantine walls of Yoros Castle, the plane-tree shade of Kanlıca, the fish-scented streets of Çengelköy... After a tea break in Üsküdar, you board the ferry at Harem. On the ferry with your motorcycle, the Istanbul skyline right in front of you — this is how the last half hour of the tour passes.

This route is not just an itinerary. It is the only way to feel Istanbul from both continents at once.

Daily program

European side

The classic tour covering both shores of the Istanbul Bosphorus: up the European coast, a panoramic crossing into Asia over the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, and a legendary finish on the Harem ferry.

  1. Mecidiyeköy Branch — Departure

Group meeting, gear check and briefing.

  2. Beşiktaş · Ortaköy · Bebek

First contact with the Bosphorus shore — passing Çırağan Palace and the Ortaköy Mosque.

  3. Emirgan — Coffee Break

Coffee with a Bosphorus view in Istanbul's loveliest grove. Tulumba dessert recommended.

  4. Tarabya · Sarıyer · Garipçe

The coolest and greenest part of the Bosphorus — riding among grove houses and embassy waterfront mansions.

  5. Rumeli Kavağı — Lunch at a Fish Restaurant

Fresh fish in the last village of the European side, before crossing to the YSS Bridge. Bluefish or bonito season.

  6. Rumeli Lighthouse — Black Sea Break

The point where the Bosphorus opens into the Black Sea. A historic lighthouse and a vast open-sea view.

Asian side

  1. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge — Panoramic Crossing to Asia

Leave Europe behind and cross panoramically into Asia over the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. 322 meters high.

  2. Anadolu Lighthouse · Yoros Castle · Beykoz

The Byzantine-era Yoros Castle and the northern tip of the Anatolian side — the wildest corner of the Bosphorus.

  3. Kanlıca · Anadoluhisarı · Çengelköy · Beylerbeyi

A shore lined with Ottoman waterfront mansions and plane trees. Kanlıca yogurt is this route's secret flavor.

  4. Opposite the Maiden's Tower — Tea Break

Tea on the Üsküdar pier with a view of the Maiden's Tower. Preparing for the legendary finish.

  5. Harem Ferry Pier

The motorcycles are loaded onto the ferry. The experience of crossing the Bosphorus by sea begins.

  6. Ferry: Harem → Sirkeci — Bosphorus Crossing

A 30-minute sea voyage facing the Istanbul skyline. The most unforgettable moment of the tour.

  7. Mecidiyeköy Branch — Return

A short transfer from Sirkeci to the branch. End of the tour.
